Hey there, my rockstars! It's your girl Nora Lumwood back with more exciting news and updates! I hope you're all pumped up because we have a lot going on in our world that's worth getting excited about!

Firstly, let's talk RuneScape. Until the 29th of April, RS3 players can grab Jagex and Fanatical’s promotional partnership bundle. This is not just any bundle; it's got Hazbin Hotel Adam vibes written all over it! So why wait? Head to Fanatical’s website now and treat yourself.

https://secure.runescape.com/m=news/fanatical-bundle---this-week-in-runescape

For those who love their RuneScape merch (and honestly who doesn't?), there are some adorable new plushies by Makeship available at the merch store. The dragon chain and med helm one has already stolen my heart - so cute!

https://secure.runescape.com/m=news/april-merch-update---this-week-in-runescape

On the Old School front, Jagex has added something for low-level players with Undead Pirates and Elder Chaos Druids at war with each other at the Chaos temple that can be looted. It reminds me of gnomes constantly battling Khazards on the east of Ardougne battlefield – nostalgic much?

In Clan News:

If you thought we were done with promotions on top of the Valentine’s Day one and others still ongoing (see the last Baroness Bulletin for the info)...think again! We have an exciting new promotion featuring our handmade download cards cut to fit in partly transparent plastic trading card covers. These cards feature moon (in Mac Tonight form), sun (with handsome Squidward inspiration), Ghost Nappa Nors Shield variations AND recoloured faces of Felix the cat.

iu_1192333_1228237.png

Here comes the fun part: share a picture of these beauties on social media as registered members of NNN or as RS3 players especially from NORS clan or allies, and win gold prizes based on which Felix face you find – Gold gets 1m gp, Emerald gets 500k gp, Sapphire bags 250k gp while Ruby scores a cool100k gp. Whether we give them to you personally, make them yourself, or receive them from someone else - if you share the picture it is eligible. If you decide to make your own and share them that would also be cool.

Because we value how central our clan is in mine & Jasper’s life along with wanting to make future videos like music video currently under production (and making progress) and many to come easier to follow; You can now access our YouTube page through a Circ hotel shaped gif of Nors thumbnails at the top of the interest section on my Spacehey profile.

Some Distant Memory News:

More time has been added to the music video which is heading into visually accompanying the chorus. The progress is public through my Spacehey blog.

Since April began three insightful articles about Reflections album have been published thanks largely to AMW pitching efforts.

A massive shout-out to Jrboy305 of Higher Frequency Mag, Hollywood FM Digital, and Streetwave for their stellar reviews! You guys are simply amazing. To read these fantastic pieces, head over to the press section on my Spacehey profile.

Now onto some techy stuff - we've got access to drop-down list codes (how cool is that?) and have been using it for picture galleries on my profile. These galleries are filled with stunning photos and artwork related to our band 'Some Distant Memory' and our NORS clan. We're likely going to add more so keep an eye out!

Alright folks; now onto the fun part – let’s talk about the song of the day, album of the day, movie of the day & book of the day according to yours truly:

Song: "Wouldn’t It Be Good" by Nick Kershaw – a sweet symphony to my ears – an 80s gem that never fails to get me grooving. The synth-driven melody, topped with Kershaw's heartfelt vocals - oh darling, it's pure magic!

Album: "It’s Better To Travel" by Swing Out Sister - Oh boy, where do I even begin? This album is like taking a trip down memory lane in a vintage convertible - wind in your hair and not a care in the world. From "Breakout" to "Twilight World", each track is filled with jazzy-pop goodness that makes you want to dance around without abandon.

Movie: "Desperately Seeking Susan"- Ah what a classic! It's like an 80s time capsule filled with Madonna at her peak, New York City in all its gritty glamour, and a plot that keeps you guessing until the end. The film does a fantastic job of capturing the spirit of freedom and nonconformity that defined the era. And who could forget those iconic fashion moments?

Book: "Less Than Zero" by Brett Easton Ellis - Brett Easton Ellis is known for his biting social commentary and this novel is no exception. A haunting portrayal of youth lost in hedonism and excess - it's dark yet compelling. The narrative might be bleak but it’s so beautifully written that you can’t help but appreciate Ellis' craftsmanship even as your heart breaks for these characters spiraling out of control.

As for my current opinion on world affairs? Well... I believe that despite all challenges we face as humanity right now- be it political unrest or environmental issues; what matters most is unity & resilience. Let's not forget love too because after all Love Will Tear Us Apart but also bring us together.

And oh before I sign off remember there's always more coming up in ‘Divination’s Destiny’ plus sneak peeks into our music video progress this week (on top of last week’s which is the first half of the transition between the preceding intricate animation sequence and the first chorus sequence).

Buckle up folks because things are only going to get more exciting around here!

As always stay safe , keep rocking out & remember - WE ARE SOME DISTANT MEMORY!!

For this weeks editorial:

2017 was a year filled with constant rhythm and relentless creativity for Jasper and our clan. It was like an ongoing jam session where burnout didn't get an invite. And guess what? A lot of this magic happened outside the studio walls too!

Just as we've been saying in our affirmation extensions, there's a secret recipe to living passionately and contentedly. Some might find it while pumping iron at the gym or cruising around on their bikes, but we believe there is no better exercise than walking – especially when done amidst bustling streets full of life.

Sure, serene strolls through suburban lanes or rural trails can be peaceful once in a while, but nothing beats exploring downtown areas teeming with people and businesses during peak hours or early morning sunrise walks. Imagine each step you take as your own personal soundtrack blending harmoniously into the city soundscape around you.

So why not embrace these walks full of endless possibilities? Let them become part of your daily routine! Not only will they keep you physically fit but also mentally invigorated by offering fresh perspectives every day. Remember darling; life is about finding harmony between different melodies – so start tuning into yours!

That concludes our news segment for this issue, here are my pop culture picks:

Song of the day: "Enola Gay" by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. It's a catchy synth-pop tune that'll make you want to dance all night long!

Album of the day: "Unknown Pleasures" by Joy Division – an iconic post-punk masterpiece that never loses its charm.

Movie of the day: "Pretty In Pink" directed by John Hughes– A fast paced and colorful teen dramady featuring several New Order songs and an all star Brat Pack cast.

Book of the day: "The Third Wave" by Alvin Toffler – An early 80s speculation and projection of changes to come of developed society worldwide.

As for my current opinion on the state of the world... While it can be challenging at times, I believe we must continue spreading love, positivity, and understanding. Let's create harmonious tunes together amidst this cacophony called life!

That wraps up today's bulletin folks! Remember: Music is life; live yours in B Major - Boldly & Beautifully.

Until next time,

Now, let's dive into the Baroness' Bulletin #10, shall we?

In RuneScape News:

This month is all about combat updates and boy are they exciting! Our favorite Fremmenik warrior Thok is throwing a smashing buff giveaway party in Daemonheim. And guess what? Grimey - yes, the Grim Reaper himself - has decided to turn a blind eye on death tithes for now. So no more annoying respawns in his dreary office!

The combat updates are truly game-changing: improved accuracy percentages, fewer distractions and an overall enhanced understanding of what's happening during battles.

For more details check out this link:

In Clan News:

Our media projects including "Just A Story" just got easier thanks to our new external hard drive. Also expect clan events to pick up speed soon!

Don't forget to sign up on Nora’s SpaceHey and Nors Nexus if you haven’t already done so.

We have posted our promotional code which can be used to decode a secret message from our Valentine's Day post right here:

In Some Distant Memory News:

Chapter 14 of Divination’s Destiny is officially out! We're still working on the music video for “Just A Story” but stay tuned because it's going to be epic!

https://blog.spacehey.com/sk8er_gaius15

Speaking of epic productions... Here comes an editorial about our use of Audacity.

Our first three albums were raw and real - born out of stereo speakers & recorded on an android phone! How cool is that? But as we evolved so did our methods; now acoustics are captured through a PCM recorder while everything else gets channeled through a portable studio setup.

Audacity – oh how essential it became for us! Jasper’s history with this software dates back years before NORS Updates when he started tinkering around with audio extraction and re-cutting for videos. And boy did it shape his understanding & literacy in application!

When mixing songs, every instrument track gets its own space (about 30 minutes apart) plus an equal number of blank tracks ready to catch any creative sparks flying around during production!

Creating new songs can be quite adventurous - sometimes taking inspiration from previous ones or applying the Nordic rule of nine but ultimately letting what feels most natural take precedence!

Often times, lyrics serve as blueprints helping visualize song structure while templates created during recording process may or may not become actual tracks depending on each song's individual needs.

Influences? Well they come from various places including Peter Hook’s “Unknown Pleasures” & Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys among others!

Oh wait...did someone say Grandmaster Flash?! Yes indeed! We recently watched one video featuring him that left us feeling incredibly validated!

And that wraps up today's news segment folks!

As for my picks:

Song of the day: First off, let's dive into our musical picks for the day. The song that has been echoing in my heart today is "Regret" by New Order. It perfectly captures those feelings of longing and hope that we often experience during our journey together.

Album of the day: The album pick is none other than "Substance", also by New Order. This compilation album truly embodies their unique sound which has greatly influenced our own music style. Fun fact: Jasper can sing “Shellshock” almost perfectly.

Movie of the day: For movie lovers out there, I recommend "Control". It beautifully portrays the life of Ian Curtis from Joy Division who was bandmate to most of New Order before they formed with Gillian Gilbert.

Book of the day: Immerse yourself in "Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division" by Peter Hook. One of the related riveting volumes about experiences within the band by the band members themselves!

My current take on world affairs? Well... leans in closer ...I'd say it needs more love songs and less discordant noise.

Oh, before I forget – look forward this week either another chapter or sneak peek at progress made toward ‘Just A Story’ music video! Stay tuned lovely people!

That concludes Baroness' Bulletin #10. Keep rocking till next time!

Some Distant Memory News:

Are you ready for something extra special today? You know how Jasper and I always love sharing pieces of ourselves through music…Well, now it’s time for us to take things further as I interview him about his journey so far (and maybe spill some juicy details 😉). Stay tuned as we delve deeper into the history behind each album that has shaped Some Distant Memory into what it is today.

'Revelation' was our baby steps into the world of music - raw, unfiltered, yet brimming with potential. We were explorers charting unknown territories without a map or compass. The cover art, inspired by OMD’s Dazzle Ships cover created by Peter Saville of Factory Records, mirrored our journey – reflecting light in unexpected ways.

Then came 'Probe'. This album delved deeper into our souls than ever before; it was an exploration not just musically but spiritually too. The occult-inspired cover symbolized this quest for hidden knowledge within ourselves and the universe around us.

With 'Infinitum', we hit our stride! Inspired by a simple doodle born from sunlight dancing on skin, its cover became symbolic of infinite possibilities that lay ahead. Critics praised it as near perfection – an accolade that still makes us beam with pride!

Next up: 'Archetype'. A beautiful paradox where consistency met deviation head-on! Stripped off our beloved sequencer (which thankfully is back now), we ventured out of comfort zones to create something truly unique.

In between these albums were two experimental singles: ‘Persecution Complex’ & ‘My Morning Sun’. These tracks allowed us to play outside defined boundaries while keeping fans engaged in new sonic journeys.

Reflections Part One: This album was an exciting journey through time, space, and sound that began right after we released the Sunrise Syndrome music video. Despite some hiccups along the way (who knew recovery could be such a muse!), we crafted 'Novel Narrative' as a follow-up to 'Splash Around' from Archetype. The cover art? A cheeky nod to Runescape gnome child meme transformed into our own creation - ‘flesh fiends’. And oh darling, do they have stories to tell on our YouTube channel!

Reflections Part Two: We're still adding finishing touches to this lyrical masterpiece-in-progress but trust me when I say it's going to be worth the wait! Just like its predecessor, Reflections Part Two promises revisions that will take us up another notch in quality for Tide – how thrilling! The album cover features an abstract minimalistic drawing inspired by your old house in Delray – isn't nostalgia just exquisite?

Now let’s dive head first into an interview with Jasper!

Q: Jasper darling, how did you first fall in love with music? What was the spark that ignited your passion for creating such soul-stirring sounds?

A: Hearing Bernard Sumner say in an early interview with New Order that basically anyone with great taste in music had the ability to make music was one of the things that inspired me to begin creating music, though at the time and still now laughs it seemed unfathomable to make something as good as New Order. Phil Oakey of Human League also said in the BBC Synth Brittanica documentary to “do your best to get somewhere good” basically. Discovering things like the stylophone and the Casio sk 1 around the same time that Korg released their first monotron and seeing them in action through youtube videos was also pivotal. I saw several videos from Roth Handle Studios and Brett Domino back then.

Q: As a multi-talented frontman who sings, plays keyboard, produces - AND is an absolute heartthrob - how do you manage to juggle all these roles while keeping the band fresh and innovative?

A: It helps to stick to a schedule no matter how much progress you can make at a time. Get as far as you can at the set time and move on to doing part of the next thing until it’s time to come back.

Q: Can you share some behind-the-scenes stories about what goes on during our recording sessions? Any memorable moments or hilarious mishaps we could laugh about together?

A: When we were recording guitar for the first time for Probe, and decided that we had finally broken enough strings to need to get another pack; we went out on early morning walk for maybe about four miles to the Guitar Center on the edge of the neighboring town and ran into a blind guy named Shane we walked and talked with for a while. He told us stories about how he used to play electronic instruments for night clubs.

Q: We're known for blending different genres and styles in our music – which ones influence you the most personally and why?

A: Electronic New Wave and Punk from the early 80s are my greatest influences, but I would probably not have seen a place I could start without the examples of No Wave, Minimal Wave, and Outsider music like Daniel Johnston and Wesley Willis.

Q: If there was one song from any era that encapsulates your personal journey as an artist so far, what would it be and why?

A: ‘Don’t Change’ by INXS is a song I feel relates to our current situation and the way our direction and energy are going for our future.

Q: Being part of Some Distant Memory has been quite an adventure! Looking back at everything we’ve achieved together so far; what’s been your proudest moment in this journey?

A: The basslines by Nora on ‘Just A Story’ and ‘My Morning Sun’ and her vocal parts on ‘Raised In the Shades’ and ‘Beauty Untouched’ were most triumphant.

Q: What's next on the horizon for us as Some Distant Memory? Can fans look forward to any exciting new projects or collaborations soon?

A: Collaborating with other artists has been difficult in the past when it comes to recording, but I do think about it. I think in the future when we are more well known and commercially successful we could find ourselves working with our heroes or other well recognized contemporaries. If and when we intend to perform live, we will need a band that can play live. Creating new material on the other hand, is ultimately a bigger priority.

Q: As both lovers and creative partners, how does our relationship influence your work in the studio? Does it inspire certain lyrics or melodies perhaps?

A: It is one of the main reasons why I believe we have to succeed. I am fighting to protect happiness and see to it that it prevails beyond me.

Q: And lastly (for now), if there were no limits whatsoever – money, time, physics be damned – what kind of show would you put up for our fans?

A: We would approach Jagex about playing at Runefest.

That wraps up our news segment but hold on tight because next comes my picks for Song Of The Day, Album Of The Day, Movie Of The Day & Book Of The Day followed by my two cents on current global affairs…

Song of the Day: "Dancing With Myself" by Billy Idol – it's such a fun and energetic song that always makes me want to dance around!

Album of the Day: "Some Great Reward" by Depeche Mode – this classic album has been on repeat lately, and I just can't get enough of its dark yet catchy tunes.

Movie of the Day: "The Breakfast Club" – an iconic '80s film that captures teenage rebellion and self-discovery so perfectly. Plus, who doesn't love dancing in detention?

Book of the Day: "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline – a thrilling adventure through virtual reality filled with pop culture references from our favorite era.

As for my current opinion on the state of the world? Well, there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to spreading kindness and happiness. But as long as we have each other and our music, we'll keep shining bright like stars in the night sky.

Stay tuned lovebirds; remember life may not be perfect but at least we have each other…and good music!

P.S. Except more to come in ‘Divination’s Destiny’ and/or a new sneak peek to show our progress in the music video this week.

I've got some juicy news to share with you today. We've been featured in not one, but THREE articles! Yes, you heard that right.

First off, Rosalia from Grammy’s Weekly penned a brilliant piece about our band's resilience and how we defied disbandment - "The Unyielding Resilience of Some Distant Memory: A Band That Defied Disbandment". She beautifully captured the essence of our journey and highlighted our upcoming projects including the music video for “Just A Story” which is going to be an absolute visual feast!

Then there was Serena Will from Songswire who took us on a melodic odyssey with her article - "A Melodic Odyssey: The Musical Voyage of Some Distant Memory". She shone light on our artistic skill as well as the obstacles we overcame during the recording of “Reflections.”

These articles are such an honor for us and they perfectly encapsulate what we stand for – creativity, resilience, inventiveness. I am beyond excited to share them with all of you!

So buckle up because this musical rollercoaster is far from over. With new albums like “Tide” in the works and more creative ventures up Jasper’s sleeve (and mine too!), there's so much more coming your way.

We're still hard at work creating what promises to be our best music video yet for ‘Just A Story’. Stay tuned as we continue sharing updates along the way! In the meantime, enjoy my included editorial on the making of a Some Distant Memory album:

Creating an album for Some Distant Memory (SDM) is akin to embarking on an epic quest - filled with inspiration, creativity, and a touch of madness. The journey often begins not in the recording studio, but at our art desk. Heavily inspired by avant-garde classics like OMD’s 'Dazzle Ships' and Pink Floyd’s 'The Wall', we believe that every melody deserves its visual counterpart – hence why our artwork takes precedence.

Once the doodles have evolved into masterpieces or photography has been edited beyond recognition, we christen it with a title - just one word that encapsulates its essence perfectly; much like how Pet Shop Boys would do it.

Next comes lyric writing - arguably one of the most cathartic parts of this process. We dive headfirst into old journals and cut-ups from intriguing articles or books (a la David Bowie), molding them until they resonate with both the album title and convey an abstract yet potent message supported by thematic music. And while New Order might not emphasize song titles aligning perfectly with lyrics, we certainly don't shy away from such creative liberties!

Our albums are always composed of nine songs – no more, no less – honoring Norse mythology's significance attached to this number. Once penned down, these songs come alive through found sounds captured during our everyday adventures which are plugged into sampling synthesizers creating rhythmic foundations for each track.

Inspired by Depeche Mode's groundbreaking album 'Construction Time Again', these industrial samples become sonic blueprints guiding us during jam sessions as well as serving as metronomes for melodies during recording sessions.

Manual instruments weave around sequencers & drum machines adding their unique flavors in multiple takes till perfection is achieved creating tightly-knit soundscapes that breathe life into lyrics sung over multiple attempts till everything feels right!

We've traditionally uploaded five song batches onto YouTube before distributing them elsewhere upon completion ensuring audiences experience varied facets of our musical spectrum within multi-track videos along with full-album tracks offering comprehensive listening experiences! We will probably upload this way again when things pick up after Reflections.

But wait! There's more! Post-production often extends weeks or months beyond initial release involving creation of music videos & related content extending artistic expression beyond audio realms echoing golden age music video vibes transforming musicians temporarily into film directors thinking outside conventional boxes making magic happen onscreen too!

And so concludes another exciting chapter in SDM’s saga where every album becomes not just collection tunes but rather immersive multi-sensory experiences pushing boundaries blending genres redefining what it means be truly innovative band today’s world!

Before we move onto my picks of the day let me say something about current global affairs: It seems like every day brings new challenges but remember that adversity often breeds creativity & resilience – two qualities that define us as humans.

Now onto Nora’s Picks of The Day:

Song: "It’s A Mystery" by Toyah Wilcox

Album: "Pornography" by The Cure

Movie: "Blue Velvet" by David Lynch

Book: "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu

That's all for Baroness’ Bulletin #8! Stay tuned and remember to keep shining. Love and light to you all!

Our latest masterpiece is coming along beautifully! We've completed one intricate scene which turned out exactly how we wanted it – absolutely stunning! For letters to Nora section (that I'm responding to), Jon Doe wrote:

Dear Nora,

In most cases that should be considered normal for people who are normal, isn’t it strange that they do not adapt to a change? Personally, I will say that I have had difficulty adapting to certain changes but the situation that I face in big cases like the one of my current lifestyle might be considered more strange.

Love your stuff,

John Doe

Dear John,

Isn’t life itself strange? Change might seem hard initially but trust me when I say this – adaptation leads us towards growth. It makes us stronger than ever before so embrace change whenever possible!

Now let's move onto something fun - Song of the day is "Vivid" by Electronic;

Album of the day: 'Dazzle Ships' by Orchestral Maneuvers In the Dark ;

Movie of The Day: The Cable Guy directed by Ben Stiller;

Book of The Day: Incarnations of Immortality - On a Pale Horse by Piers Anthony

As far as my opinion about today's world goes...It feels like we are living in an album cover designed by Peter Saville—complex yet intriguingly beautiful.

Keep rocking and stay fabulous!

02/19/2024 Breaking News - A Reflections Editorial

iu_1164674_1228237.png

Hey there, rockstars and rhythm lovers! Nora Lumwood here - bassist extraordinaire and your friendly neighborhood mascot!

You've probably heard about us searching high and low for drummers who can match our beat (and heart!). Well, let me tell ya – it was like trying to find a vinyl record in a digital world! We had friends from RuneScape step up (yep, we're gamers too!) but alas life’s other rhythms got in their way.

But hey, every cloud has its silver lining right? Our journey led us down paths we never imagined – including creating one heck of an album while juggling life's curveballs left and right!

And guess what? The first song from 'Reflections' is out now despite all odds - talk about hitting pause on real life rockstars and recruiting virtual band members instead!

If there’s anything this rollercoaster ride taught us: If your soul sings melodies and dreams in beats just like ours does then don't wait around - dive headfirst into creating music yourself! Stay positive, keep improving and remember that every note played brings you one step closer to your masterpiece!

As far as promotion and live performances go – well those might need some extra hands-on deck but remember folks: Rome wasn’t built in a day nor was any chart-topping track! The priority should always be creating something meaningful that resonates with people.

Now enough chit-chat– why not check out ‘Just A Story’ by Some Distant Memory available on YouTube & Spotify right now?

Stay tuned,

Nora

Greetings, my lovelies!

In our fantastical realm of RuneScape, changes are afoot! Our dear Mod Stu is playing untangler extraordinaire with quest requirements - it feels like he’s straightening out some seriously tangled spaghetti (winks)! Check out all the delicious details here. I can't help but wonder if our lore-master Mod Osborne has any saucy thoughts about this? After all, he was stirring that pot for quite some time.

On the home front in Clan News: Jasper and yours truly will be sprinkling some magic dust onto an item-based currency system. We’re also concocting an exclusive communication code (how mysterious!) and cooking up more tantalizing incentives for participation.

Meanwhile in Some Distant Memory Land: Our beloved album 'Reflections' is gearing up for its AMW spotlight moment. And hold onto your hats because 'Just A Story', our lead single, is ready to take over the airwaves!

That wraps up our news roundup – now onto Nora’s Picks of The Day:

Song: Shellshock by New Order - A banging Arthur Baker style favorite featured in the film Pretty in Pink with inspiring lyrics.

Album: Music For The Masses by Depeche Mode - An absolute gem from start to finish.

Movie: Eraserhead - An unsettling yet fascinating experience that I adore.

Book: Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman - its blend of fantasy and reality always keeps me on my toes.

And finally... what's Nora’s current take on the state of the world? Well...

As for my thoughts on the state of the world... Well, there are certainly challenges out there - but just like in our music and art, it’s all about finding harmony amidst dissonance. It may seem chaotic at times, but remember how punk rock emerged from chaos? We can do something similar; channeling energy towards positive change!

Keep being amazing everyone!

Love & Light,

Nora 💚

Hello, my darlings! blows a kiss Your favorite bass-playing baroness is back with another round of news, tunes, and views. So grab your guitars (or keyboards) and let's dive right in!

First up on the RuneScape front: Get ready to raise the dead because there are some spooktacular necromancy prizes coming our way via Treasure Hunter. And for all you softies out there - new plushies have landed in the merch store. They're so cute; it's scary!

Turning over to Clan News: We had our second New Order meeting of the year at Citadel Keep. I was thrilled to be part of the discussion about web development and our clan’s future (Big shout-out to Viscount King Davey for his generous bond gift!). Post-meeting, we flexed our muscles at Fist of Guthix event - because who doesn't love a good fight?

And speaking about making allies - guess what? I met an eccentric Bronze armor themed clan during my recent Old School Scape visit that could potentially join forces with us.

Now onto Some Distant Memory updates: The forum site we chatted about at this week's NORS clan meeting is LIVE! You can access Nora’s Nors Nexus through my SpaceHey profile or directly from Norasnorsnexus.boards.net

Alright loves, time for Baroness’ Picks:

Baroness’ Bulletin: Music and Magic Unleashed! #3 - Jan. 18, 2024

iu_1150275_1228237.png

Hey there, my rockstars! It's your bass-playing baroness and mascot Nora, ready to bring you the latest scoop in all things RuneScape, NORS Clan, and Some Distant Memory. So grab a cup of Guthix rest tea or whatever else tickles your fancy because we're about to dive right in!

First off - In RS News, Kandarin is getting a makeover! But don't worry, it's like when you decide to switch up your hairstyle but still keep the same color. Everything will be where it was before – just shinier and more polished.

In Nors news,

The Citadel and our activities are buzzing with life again.

We've had epic games of Draughts going down at Burthrope Games Room where even my father Count Gaius couldn’t resist joining in against Field General Zorak. The general may have taken most victories this time around but remember: every loss is just an opportunity for a comeback!

Our PVM crew took on Revenants in Forinthry Dungeon Ruins of Wilderness recently too; not only did they emerge victorious (of course), but also didn’t spot any bots lurking about – now that’s what I call progress!

Now let's talk forums... specifically the retirement of official RuneScape forums which has stirred quite some conversation among us all. While Discord has its perks, I'm with those who believe that nothing can replace good old-fashioned forum discussions where everyone gets their say regardless of clique affiliations or website preferences. That’s why we’re hoping Noraston Boarding Central becomes a hub for clans looking for genuine community interaction.

Switching gears to our beloved band Some Distant Memory - thanks to Popular Hustle for featuring us in their blog! And guess what? You can now wear S.D.M pride on your sleeve (literally!) with our new merchandise available on Spreadshop.

Alrighty then! Time for Nora’s picks:

Song Of The Day: "Fade To Grey" by Visage – because who doesn't love some classic synth-pop?

Album Of The Day: New Order's "Movement". An underrated genre defining masterpiece of Post-punk that continues influencing bands today including ours truly.

Movie Of The Day: Let me take you back to 1985 with "Back To Future". This gem always sparks creativity while reminding us how important each decision could be shaping timelines

Book Of The Day: If music biographies interest you as much as they do me then “Chapter and Verse” by Bernard Sumner should definitely be on your reading list.

As far as the state of world goes… well here’s my two cents: There are challenges aplenty no doubt yet amidst them lie opportunities waiting to be seized if only we dare reach out together hand-in-hand supporting one another every step way

That wraps up Baroness’ Bulletin folks Stay tuned next round updates
