Baroness’ Bulletin: Music and Magic Unleashed! #3 - Jan. 18, 2024
Hey there, my rockstars! It's your bass-playing baroness and mascot Nora, ready to bring you the latest scoop in all things RuneScape, NORS Clan, and Some Distant Memory. So grab a cup of Guthix rest tea or whatever else tickles your fancy because we're about to dive right in!
First off - In RS News, Kandarin is getting a makeover! But don't worry, it's like when you decide to switch up your hairstyle but still keep the same color. Everything will be where it was before – just shinier and more polished.
In Nors news,
The Citadel and our activities are buzzing with life again.
We've had epic games of Draughts going down at Burthrope Games Room where even my father Count Gaius couldn’t resist joining in against Field General Zorak. The general may have taken most victories this time around but remember: every loss is just an opportunity for a comeback!
Our PVM crew took on Revenants in Forinthry Dungeon Ruins of Wilderness recently too; not only did they emerge victorious (of course), but also didn’t spot any bots lurking about – now that’s what I call progress!
Now let's talk forums... specifically the retirement of official RuneScape forums which has stirred quite some conversation among us all. While Discord has its perks, I'm with those who believe that nothing can replace good old-fashioned forum discussions where everyone gets their say regardless of clique affiliations or website preferences. That’s why we’re hoping Noraston Boarding Central becomes a hub for clans looking for genuine community interaction.
Switching gears to our beloved band Some Distant Memory - thanks to Popular Hustle for featuring us in their blog! And guess what? You can now wear S.D.M pride on your sleeve (literally!) with our new merchandise available on Spreadshop.
Alrighty then! Time for Nora’s picks:
Song Of The Day: "Fade To Grey" by Visage – because who doesn't love some classic synth-pop?
Album Of The Day: New Order's "Movement". An underrated genre defining masterpiece of Post-punk that continues influencing bands today including ours truly.
Movie Of The Day: Let me take you back to 1985 with "Back To Future". This gem always sparks creativity while reminding us how important each decision could be shaping timelines
Book Of The Day: If music biographies interest you as much as they do me then “Chapter and Verse” by Bernard Sumner should definitely be on your reading list.
As far as the state of world goes… well here’s my two cents: There are challenges aplenty no doubt yet amidst them lie opportunities waiting to be seized if only we dare reach out together hand-in-hand supporting one another every step way
That wraps up Baroness’ Bulletin folks Stay tuned next round updates
